IV Certification

About Ivcert

Our mission is to provide comprehensive and accessible education to LPNs in Hernando County and surrounding areas on IV insertion techniques. We strive to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver safe and effective patient care. We promote best practices, enhance clinical competence, and foster confidence in IV therapy among nurses. Through hands-on training and evidence-based resources, we aim to elevate the standards of IV technique education in the nursing field.

How to Become IV Certified!

  1. To enroll, you must hold an unrestricted LPN license in the state of Florida! Compact licenses are also accepted.

  2. Click the “Book Now” button below to purchase access to both the online and hands-on portions required for certification. After payment, you’ll be prompted to choose a date and time for the hands-on session. Both portions of the class come out to a total of $360.

  3. Once your payment is processed, detailed instructions will be emailed to you by the end of the business day.

  4. Complete the online portion, which consists of a PDF monograph and post-test, at home prior to attending the hands-on class. Allow yourself at least a couple of days to review the material and complete the post-test before your scheduled session. You must score an 80% or above.

  5. Attend your scheduled hands-on class. The in-person classes are currently being held at the Inverness Public Library in Inverness, Florida. We are exploring new options and are willing to come to your facility if it can be scheduled!

If you require certification before the next scheduled course date or need to inquire about an additional date, please contact Arica Saylor at (352) 701-6883 for assistance.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER PLEASE READ!!

This website supports the in-person portion sections required for certification.  You must purchase and complete both the online material and the in-person class, and pass both the exam and live instruction to receive certification. Passing or failing the live in-person portion is at the discretion of the RN providing the class.  All bookings purchased through ivcertify.com are nonrefundable. You may reschedule the class one time only at no additional charge/fee by contacting IVCert 48 hours prior to the initial date selected. Failure to contact us to reschedule the class within the 48-hour time frame will result in forfeiture of the class and you will be required to re-purchase the class for another attempt. Failing the in-person class will also require you to re-purchase the class for another attempt.  All in-person classes will be overseen by a registered nurse with a license in the state of Florida. Students must show proficiency in skill and technique to receive the required signature on their skills check list sheet. This class does not teach you about specific policies for specific facilities. This is a generalized class that uses evidence-based practice for IV insertion. Class dates, times, and locations may vary.
